OBLITERATED

Let’s paint the town red

Maybe it’s the Christmas spirit

with 4 comments

It is now 9.26pm on the eve of the eve of Christmas. There’s some sort of bliss I feel tonight, yet it is tainted with a strange sadness. Having dinner with my dad, mum, sister and brother, I can’t help but feel fortunate that I am with them and that we get to enjoy the simple comforts of home-cooked food, and home. We are bathed in the warm yellow lights above the dining table and Dad, always the music lover, has some music playing in the background.

I don’t really know how to explain this feeling actually. But it’s a happy one.
